Get ready for another fun-filled summer celebration at the Uxbridge Farmers’ Market, in collaboration with the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario. Wear your Sunday best (whatever that means to you) and get ready to shop, connect, and learn a little bit of Uxbridge history.

This year’s Summer Social will feature:

• 50+ local farmers, artisans, makers and bakers

• Bushels of farm-fresh seasonal produce; fresh food and drink; handcrafted gifts and more

• LMMSO Booth including “Guess the Gadget Game” + all things Maud!

• 9 AM — Paint Your Own Cookie! Compliments of TJ’s Tasty Treats - for the first 30 kiddos to arrive

• 10 AM — Win a Mini Bouquet! Compliments of Mast Creek Harvest - name the plants to win the bunch; limit one per household

• 10 AM - 1 PM — Live music by local duo Ruby Tuesday

• 11 AM - 12:30 PM —> Communi-Tea Tasting! Enjoy a cup of herbal or black iced tea, compliments of Foggy River Farm (service ends @ 12:30 or when the tea runs out)

Lucy Maud Montgomery - affectionately known as Maud - lived just north of Uxbridge in Leaskdale for many years. She wrote 11 of her 22 novels there, and she described her local Congregation as “all quite nice, being for the most part well-to-do farmers” (as quoted on the LMMSO site). Cheers, Maud!

Pride Day at the Market will feature:

• Plant Your Own Cutie Cucumber - Free for all aspiring young farmers, while seeds last

Back by popular demand, our kid's scavenger hunt will be returning with new hiding spots and items. Children can embark on a thrilling adventure, hunting for gardening and farm-related clues scattered across the market grounds to win a sweet reward. The first 100 children aged 12 and under to attend the market can participate. We will also have a fun mystery "Guess The Veggie" game, where kids use their sense of touch to determine which in-season produce is hiding under each box!

We're even bringing the farm to you! For those who love animals, the Petting Zoo by Lunar Rhythm Gardens is a must-see. They will have a mini pony, goats, rabbits, and guinea pigs to pet. Delight in the joy of interacting with adorable farm animals. Perfect for animal lovers of all ages!

Welcome to our first ever Strawberry Festival! Join us for a fun-filled day of sweet treats, family friendly activities, and seasonal specials that will leave you berry delighted.

We have family friendly activities planned, like our kid's scavenger hunt! Children can embark on a thrilling adventure, hunting for gardening and farm related clues to win a sweet reward. The first 100 children aged 12 and under to attend the market can participate.

For those who love the art of baking, our strawberry-themed baking contest is a must-enter! From classic strawberry shortcakes to homemade pies, anything Strawberry flavoured in the dessert category is welcome. We will be giving away prizes to top 3 winners, that will be announced by our special guest judge, Chef Alex Page! Get ready for a cozy and enchanting experience at our Strawberry Story Time sponsored by the Uxbridge Public Library! Gather around as our story teller reads tales about gardening and farming! Stories will be read once an hour from 10am-12pm. A reminder to parents when children are attending story time you must stay with them, they are not to be left unattended.
