Mickaël Durand is a Master Artisan Baker from Chateaugiron, France, where he owns and operates two bakeries with his brothers.
He now spends most of his time in Lindsay, Ontario, with his beautiful wife and four boisterous children. In 2016, he opened up a Café-Bookstore in Lindsay (Mickael's Cafe Librairie), gradually transitioning the location to a bakery. Part of that transition will be re-naming the bakery to "One Little Bakery, By Mickael" in 2019.
Modeled in the style of a "petite commerce" bakery from France, Mickaël's Café Librarie serves truly fresh products. Everything is baked on site, and made by Mickaël or one of his apprentices. We refuse to sell products that we don't love.
While Mickaël initially described the store as "a hobby bakery," it continues to grow and expand. The people of Lindsay are rapidly adopting this little bakery as hidden gem in the community. We are pleased to now present our products at several farmers' markets across central Ontario.

Fallen Tree Creations was created in 2018 as a result of wanting to save the usable lumber from fallen trees we were asked to cut down or make safe for customers to clean up. With the addition of a bandsaw mill we make lumber out of trees. We use the lumber to make charcuterie boards and live edge lumber for sale.
Over the last year we have expanded our creations to include other products made from fallen trees. Charcuterie boards, cutting boards, bat houses, butterfly boxes, bathtub boards, barbeque scrapers, salmon cedar planks to name a few.
A photo gallery is available for viewing on our facebook page called Fallen Tree Creations and Instagram.
