Frequently Asked Questions

Is the market accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and other mobility aids?
Our market is on both gravel and paved road, making it mostly accessible to our Customers who have strollers and use mobility aids like canes and scooters. There is some uneven terrain and loose gravel which may be harder to navigate. Please proceed with caution and notify a UFM representative (Vendor/Volunteer/Manager) if you need assistance.

Is there an admission fee?
No - admission to the market is always FREE. In lieu of an admission charge, we collect optional donations which go directly to the Uxbridge Loaves & Fishes Food Bank.

Is there an ATM onsite?
No - the nearest ATM machines are located in the CIBC branch at the intersection of Brock St. W and Toronto St. N. Customers are strongly discouraged from asking The Second Wedge employees for cash back.

Are dogs welcome?
Yes, your dogs are welcome at the market but must be leashed at all times. Please be mindful of other patrons and pick up after your dog when visiting the market. We thank you for your cooperation!

Where can I park?
There are several free parking options within a five minute walk of the Uxbridge Farmers’ Market. See here for more details. Wheelchair accessible parking spots are available directly in front of the Second Wedge building, accessible only from the north entrance off of King St. W between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sundays.

Which payment methods do your vendors accept?
Most of our Vendors accept cash, credit, and debit, and many also accept e-transfer. A handful of our Vendors are cash-only. Please contact individual Vendors to clarify which methods they accept.

How do I become a Vendor?
Apply!* Vendor applications are posted to our website under “Opportunities” throughout the year, up to 90 days before the beginning of each season/series of markets. Please note that there is limited space at our market and applications are processed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority going to existing UFM Vendors, Farmers and Uxbridge residents.
*All interested candidates are encouraged to review our Vendor Code of Ethics and Vendor Rules and Regulations.

How much does it cost to be a Vendor?
Exact costs for 2025 are TBD. Costs vary depending on the # of market dates in a given schedule, which can range from 3 to 26 dates in total. Stall fees in 2024 were $30/market for a single 10’x10’ stall. Vendors requiring hydro must pay an additional fee.

Is the market open if there's inclement weather?
Yes, we are open rain or shine! We have cancelled only one market over 25 years due to weather (a tornado).
