2024 HOLIDAY MARKETS
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Every Sunday November 3 - December 8
@ Uxbridge Arena Hall (291 Brock St. W, Uxbridge)
Dear Applicants,
Thank you for your interest in being a Vendor at the Uxbridge Farmers’ Market’s 2024 Holiday Market series. Please review the current “Vendor Rules & Regulations” and the “Vendor Code of Ethics” carefully. It is the responsibility of each potential Vendor to have a thorough understanding of these before applying to be part of the market. Failure to comply with UFM rules or regulations may result in expulsion from the market.
Please note: 2024 Holiday Markets will be indoor/outdoor for the first three dates only, meaning there will be much more limited space for the November 24, December 1, and December 8 indoor-only markets. Stall fees are outlined below. Existing UFM Vendors are offered a discounted rate as a thank you for their efforts and contributions throughout the market season.
Hydro access is available to both indoor and outdoor Vendors at no additional cost. Hydro access is extremely limited and will be allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. Those using hydro must bring their own (long, sturdy) extension cord.
If you are new to the Uxbridge Farmers’ Market: to supplement your application, please send three or more photos of your growing/creative/manufacturing process to uxbridgeFM.manager@gmail.com with your business name in the subject line. These photos are not for marketing purposes, but to get a glimpse “behind the scenes” and verify that your product is truly your own. Food Vendors: please also send one of the following in addition to your process photos:
If you prepare your food in your own licensed kitchen → a copy of your most recent certification/ proof of passed inspection
If you prepare your food elsewhere → a copy of a recent receipt for your commercial kitchen rental
All applications for 2024 Holiday Markets must be submitted on or before Monday, September 23rd, 2024. Priority is given to existing UFM Vendors, with second priority going to those who have participated in previous holiday/winter markets. Pop-up vendors will be accepted first-come-first-served, if space permits. You will be contacted by October 1st, 2024 with the result of your application.
Acceptance emails will include exact amounts owed for stall (and hydro) fees. All fees must be paid in advance with no exceptions. Vendors may pay by e-transfer to UFMpayment@gmail.com or by cheque. To pay by cheque, please contact Treasurer Lisa Cooper at lisacooper162@gmail.com. Do NOT send payment until/unless you have received confirmation details. Once confirmed, full payment of stall fees reserves your spot as a Vendor. Vendors who fail to show up for any market will not be refunded their stall fees.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to Gabi at uxbridgeFM.manager@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Gabi Christie
Market Manager, Uxbridge Farmers’ Market
NOTE: In order to participate in this series of markets, all Food Vendors must submit a “Community Special Events and Farmers’ Markets Vendor Application Form” to the Durham Region Health Department at least 30 days prior to the date of their first holiday market.
