Lucy Maud Montgomery - affectionately known as Maud - lived just north of Uxbridge in Leaskdale for many years. She wrote 11 of her 22 novels there, and she described her local Congregation as “all quite nice, being for the most part well-to-do farmers” (as quoted on the LMMSO site). Cheers, Maud!
Visit the LMMSO Booth at this year’s Summer Social to learn more about this cherished part of our local history.
Admission to the market and all posted activities are FREE.
