LET’S GET GROWING…

The Uxbridge Farmers’ Market is the perfect place for industrious young entrepreneurs to learn and grow their business skills. Through our market’s Young Entrepreneurs Program, those aged 25 and younger are eligible to participate as a one-time pop-up Vendor at the market at no cost. This is an opportunity to introduce your business to the community, connect with other passionate businesspeople, and learn the ins and outs of the farmers’ market.

Are you a Young Entrepreneur looking to take root in the Uxbridge community? Please read the following information carefully before submitting your application form. We thank you for your interest in joining our market!

Young Entrepreneurs Rules and Regulations

Market Stall: On assigned date, one 10’x10’ stall space will be allotted to participating Young Entrepreneurs. A market tent will be provided, however Young Entrepreneurs must bring their own display materials including table and chairs. Participants are free to distribute promotional material, offer giveaways/samples, and/or canvas for email lists/social media following in addition to conducting regular sales. If offerings include prepared foods, Young Entrepreneurs are highly encouraged to source ingredients from UFM Vendors in advance.
Participants should arrive no later than 8:15 a.m. to be set up for 9 a.m., and should be prepared to attend their stall for the entire market day, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Breaks for food, water, and washrooms are encouraged, of course. The Second Wedge generously opens their doors to our team as of 8 a.m. for use of their washrooms. You can also request a water bottle refill at the bar inside.

Social Media Promotion: Young Entrepreneurs are encouraged to promote their participation in the UFM on any/all social media platforms, tagging @UxbridgeFarmersMarketCanada so it can be shared on Market account. #UxbridgeFarmersMarket can also be used so we can access these photos for later use.

Fees: There are NO fees for this program.

Parking: Young Entrepreneurs are to use the Newmarket Pre-cast Concrete parking lot (“Vendor Parking”) located at the far north end of Victoria St. OR the free parking lot directly south of Brock St. from the market location. Please leave spaces immediately surrounding the market entrance open for our customers to use.

NOTE: Participation in the market is not guaranteed upon submission of this form and Young Entrepreneurs will be scheduled when space is available.
